REPOSE is a sculptural work depicting a 70” high airplane made of wood and aluminum. Within the

fuselage are bulkhead panels made of aluminum.

Cut out of the aluminum are shapes representing a horizontal cross section of a woman’s body.  The body is facing to the bottom of the airplane, with the head nearest the nose section.  On the floor is a dark blue velvet curtain that swirls around the floor. The work is a “portrait” of sorts, utilizing innuendo and metaphor to give an atmosphere of rest and alternately, imminent disaster.
